Original era manufacture. A handpainted insignia featuring a JATO assisted whale taking off, with a sinking submarine in the background. The emblem is mounted to a shield-shaped wooden plaque, with two hanging loops at the top. Below the insignia is the shadow where a pair of Navy pilot wings were once mounted.Plaque measures 11 x 11.5 inches, normal age and wear.
