Italian WWI-WWII, M1871/87/1916 Vetterli Rifle Bayonet

Original era manufacture. Modified for use during WWI with the blade being shortened to 9.25 inches and the hooked quillon removed. Brescia arsenal marked on the ricasso, long pattern spring in the grip. The blade has a blue finish with scattered areas of surface corrosion. The leather bodied scabbard, is quite sound, stitching is tight, overall showing normal age and wear. Brass throat with a steel chape. Scabbard date 1889.
