Description
Uncommon and first time for me, a rather mid- to late-war constructed, private tailored crusher cap. Executed in rough wool, complete with national insignia up front. White infantry piping surrounds the cap. Front bill is foldable. Shows no maker marks. The inner red wool of the cocarde was damaged or gone and someone just colored in red with a marker. Maybe best to proper restore this with a new cocarde perhaps? Anyhow, a nice cap for a late war combat display!
