Japanese WWII Era Court Officials Fore & Aft Hat

Original era manufacture. Black wool felt body with black ostrich feather trim. The interior has a white painted leather sweatband, with a white silk lining. The exterior displays a red-white silk cockade, over which is place a black velvet curved panel with bullion wire embroidery. Minor age staining, a rather impressive looking hat.
