Japanese WWII Imperial Navy Dagger, Wartime Mfg

Original era manufacture. A wartime produced example with gold painted plastic fittings, leather scabbard body with a fishskin covered grip bound with triple strand wire. Chrome finished steel blade measuring 8.75 inches displaying scattered areas of lifting and staining to the surface on the obverse, the reverse side is fine. The small cherry blossom grip peg covers are missing.
