German WWII S84/98 Bayonet & Scabbard, Mismatched, E. Pack 1937

Original era manufacture. Standard S84/98 bayonet made by E.Pack & Sohne, dated 37 on the spine. The blade is very clean, with nearly 100% of the blue finish remaining. No corrosion issues and the point is sharp.Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, again, without corrosion. Nice set of dark plum bakelite grips with no cracks or chips.Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the scabbard body, with some shallow surface denting on the reverse. Maker marked to R. Herder and dated 1938. The throat screw is present. Overall a very clean example of the WWII German service bayonet.
