Japanese M1889 Navy Prison Guard, Shore Patrol Sword

Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 26 inches in length, clean, with scattered shallow nicks in the cutting edge. Cast brass guard, backstrap and pommel, with a fouled anchor on the backstrap.Black leather wrapped grip bound with twisted copper wire. Chromed steel scabbard with two suspension rings, and an additional fouled anchor emblem just above the drag.
