French, Early 19th Century Briquet & Scabbard, Klingenthal Mfg1816 Dated

Original era manufacture. German made French Briquet with it's original scabbard. Polished steel, curved blade measuring 23 inches in length, clean condition, normal age and wear. Clear markings on the spine to include Klingenthal, and 1816 date. Cast brass grip with numerous markings. Sound black leather scabbard with a white buff leather throat and small steel ball tip. A very sound example of a 200 year old sword.
