US WWII-Korean War USM4 PAL Bayonet, In Original Box, Unissued

Original era manufacture. An unused M4 Carbine bayonet in its original box of issue, the metal components are still in cosmoline. Interestingly, the lid of the box states an M8A1 scabbard, while the actual scabbard is the earlier style M8, without the metal covering on the tip. The metal throat is covered in a protective waxed paper.On the downside, during long storage the grip has dried out and a section has cracked and fallen out. This can be seen in our fourth photo.
