French M1866 Chassepot Bayonet, Matching, 1872

Original era manufacture A very clean example of this classic brass handled bayonet for the 1866 Chassepot rifle. Matching numbers guard to scabbard, Z-225339, St Etienne 1872 on the blade spine. Clean, blue finish to the near dent-free scabbard, mellow brass patina finish to the grip. Bright and clean polished steel blade with no issues. A very handsome old bayonet for not a lot of money.
