Japanese WWII Type 30 Bayonet & Frog, Kokura Mfg

Original period manufacture. Type 30 bayonet by Kokura, with a bright finished blade, hooked guard, and bird head pommel. Comes with an original, double loop rubberized canvas frog in sound condition, although stiffened from age. Interesting Kanji insignia stamped into the left grip plate. Attached to the hooked guard is a paper tag attesting to the fact that this is the exact bayonet pictured on page 106 of Ray LaBarr's book Bayonets of Japan. It is signed by Ray with an official seal.
