Soviet WWII, Stalingrad Medal & Document, 1943

Original period manufacture. Document awarded to Sergeant Vasilliy Didick in September 1943, with a wartime medal showing honest service wear and use, these were purchased together. The document shows considerable age and wear with tape repairs on the reverse, but remains quite sound for display. The medal features its original ribbon with an uncut steel backing plate. An excellent set awarded during the war, only 8 months after the German surrender.
