Romania, Communist Era, RSR Medal for Border Service

Original period manufacture. The only information I could find on this medal was courtesy of EBAY. A vendor there has a similar medal listed, being described as 'Communist Border Service, RPR Type DE Straja Patriei' Certainly a well made medal with nice enameling on the obverse. Soviet style ribbon with a brass backing plate.
