Original era manufacture. Modeled after the US M1860 Staff Officers Sword, this example features a plain, 30 inch, polished steel blade running straight and true. Minor age staining to the blade surface, no corrosion issues.Decorative cast brass guard, knuckle bow and pommel, with a leather covered grip which is bound with thin brass wire. The wire has come loose below the pommel cap.Dent free plated steel scabbard with brass fittings. There are a few small areas of lifting to the plating but overall it is quite clean.
