Description
Original era photography. A clear sepia image of a Franco-Prussian War era Prussian Garde soldier. His 1860 pattern pickelhaube rests upon a table next to him, there is a ribbon bar on his tunic, and on his hip can be seen the hilt of a pattern 1864 Faschinenmesser.Of note is the Chicago photographers logo on the bottom of the mount. Quite likely the image is an enlargement from an original CDV, and placed on a Cabinet Card mount.
