Japanese WWII Naval Officer Blue Wool Visor Hat

Original era manufacture. A very nice quality example with a dark blue wool body with a removable black mohair quilted cap band. On the front of the hat is a very nicely toned gold bullion officers cap emblem.Patent leather chinstrap and bound visor, the chinstrap being secured with two gilt brass navy pattern buttons. Black oilcloth sweatband with a typical maroon silk lining.The lining displays typical age and wear, the sweatband is intact and sound, also displaying normal wear. No moth issues to the wool, and the hat displays well.
