British WWII Tommy Helmet Shell, 1940 Dated, Polish Eagle Stencil

Original era manufacture. Standard issue helmet with a clear 1940 and maker initials C.L./C.on the underside of the rim. No liner or chinstrap. Polish eagle stencil in yellow on the crown. The eagle shows age, but no idea when it was placed on the helmet.
