US Bannerman's Display Plaque, Indian War & Civil War

Original era manufacture. Black painted plywood shield with an 1881 Infantry helmet plate, 2 general service buttons, and a CW sling plate affixed to the front. Hook on the reverse for hanging. Produced and sold by Francis Bannerman & Company in the early 20th century, in an effort to retail the massive amounts  of surplus insignia then on hand.
