Japanese Shimonoseki Heavy Artillery DIscharge Shaker Sake Bottle

Original era manufacture. A very unusual sake made in the form of an artillery shell, with a removable fuze top that serves as a cup. White porcelain body with gilt trim, a great depiction of a disappearing coastal gun is shown on one side. Perhaps late Meiji, or Taisho era. No damage. Stands just under 7 inches in height.
