Japanese WWII Seninbari 1000 Stitch Belt

Original era manufacture. Simple white cotton belt with the requisite 1000 stitches done in cotton knots. All of the stitches are present but they have been covered by a thin layer of cotton to protect the wearer. Interestingly there is an exterior pocket with a snap closure added to one side of the belt, presumably for charms or valuables. Normal age and wear.
