Austrian WWI-WWII, Iron Cross 2nd Class Case

Original era manufacture. Now this is an interesting one...rigid box for the Iron Cross 2nd Class, with letting in gilt on the cover.Inside is a pale yellow silk lining to the lid, and a matching color recessed pad for the EK. The ribbon cut-out is triangular in shape, Austrian style, and you can clearly seen the imprint of the crown on the reverse of the EK on the pad.No lock button, never had one, the fabric lining holds the cross in place, the paper backing having broken.This does not fluoresce under a UV light.
