US Civil War CDV, General Judson Kilpatrick, Brady Backmark

Original era photography. A great vintage looking Civil War era CDV of General Judson Kilpatrick. He commanded a division of Cavalry at the Battle of Gettysburg, earning the sobriquet of 'Kilcavalry' for ordering General Farnswoth's brigade to charge the Confederate lines on the afternoon of July 3rd. The result was the death of Farnsworth and many of his men. Old ink inscription on the reverse, light crease at center.
