Original era photography. A nice lot of period photographs, each beaing the name on the reverse of Chief Engineer James T. Smith.Six of the images are commercially produced, three portraying dignitaries aboard the USS Missouri during the Japanese surrender ceremony, the remaining three are ghastly images of dead Japanese; one of which has a handwritten note to Chief Smith's mother, reassuring her that the dead soldiers are Japanese, not American.The seventh photo shows President John F. Kennedy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, original inscription on the reverse.
