Description
Original period manufacture. First example of this scarce bayonet I can remember owning, Standard Italian folding bayonet for the most part, except for the lock mechanism on the pommel. Instead of the typical push-button lock, this pattern uses a pivoting bar with a grooved thumb piece on the right side. The steel blade has a blued finish displaying spotting and finish loss, but no corrosion or sharpening issues. The pivot mechanism works properly.Nice blue steel finished scabbard with belt loop.
