MG34 Dreibein / 10x80 Flakfernrohr binocular tripod 'S64'

A super intriguing item... and one that has never been in another collection until now. A UK veteran bring-back example of an MG34 Dreibein AA tripod which appears to have been field modified to accept various optics, such as the 10x80 Flak binoculars and others, which utilised the standard dovetail rail mount system.This is a very early pre-war tripod, produced from lightweight Elektron alloy, that is very nicely maker coded 'S64' and features 3x Weimar style Waffenamt proof markings.The affixed top optic mount is finished in a tan paint and is able to be adjusted for elevation via the larger dial.The tripod remains functional with all three legs able to be extended. A really interesting and unique piece of both small arms & optical interest - allowing items such as the 10x80 Flak binoculars to be setup really easily in a quick and compact way!*Please note this item is both large and bulky when considering shipping.
