Description

Original era manufacture. Canadian manufactured Battle Dress Blouse, Size 9 dated 1943. This was purchased from the nephew of the soldier who wore this during WWII.Rough texture, olive brown wool two-pocket jacket, with very clear issue markings on the inside. No moth issues to report, just honest age and wear, complete with all original insignia as shown.The jacket is identified as worn by Milan Karen, born in Poland in 1912 to an orthodox Jewish family. During WWII he served with the Czech Liberation Army while stationed in England. He and his beautiful wife Susanna and identical twin sister Felicitas in Prague at wars end. They all emigrated to the USA, settling in Roslyn New York where Milan operated a Photography studio.
