British Pre WWI, Royal Irish Fusilier Bearskin, 1904

Original era manufacture. A sound example of an issue British army bearskin, unit marked to the Irish Fusiliers (IF) in white paint, and an issue date of 1904.The fur is quite sound, original brown leather sweatband, with a varnished white cotton lining. The original brass linked chinstrap is intact, although portions of the leather backing material are not attached.The brass badge is incorrect for the unit markings, being of a pattern worn by the Royal Scots Fusiliers, who wore a similar bearskin.
