Italian M1871 Vetterli Rifle Bayonet, Long Spring

Original period manufacture. Bright finished steel blade with a clean finish, no nicks in the cutting edge. Dark brown hard rubber grips, basically sound with no chipping or cracks to the edges. Guard and pommel show an even steel patina with a touch of very light corrosion, a long pattern locking spring.Sound black leather bodied scabbard with tight stitching, brass throat and chape, Torino 1883 stamped into the surface. Small gap between the top of the front and underside of the guard.
