Italian WWI-WWII, M1871/87/1916 Vetterli Rifle Bayonet

Original era manufacture. Modified for use during WWI with the blade being shortened to 9.25 inches and the hooked quillon removed. Arsenal marked on the ricasso, short pattern spring in the grip.The brass mounted leather bodied scabbard, is quite sound, stitching is tight, overall showing normal age and wear. Arsenal marked on the reverse with a 1935 date.
