British Crimen War, Turkish Crimea Medal, Sardinian Issue, Unique Suspender, 47th Foot

Original era manufacture. A silver medal awarded by the Sultan of Turkey to all Allied troops who served in the Russian War, 1854-1856. Sardinian issue, as that flag is depicted right front, next to the Turkish flag. Named on the edge to: 1339 G. Brown 47th REGT. What is truly unique regarding this particular example, is the elaborate suspender, also of silver, with a heavy twisted base and crescent moon above. First example of this I have seen, quite similar to the suspender on the Khedive Star of the Egypt campaign three decades later.
