Description
Very rare and not often encountered M42 overseas cap. This model was only produced for one year (1942) and therefor these caps are quite hard to find, since many were converted with a bill later in the war to look like a M43. Unworn cap in excellent condition. Complete with its national insignia (M40 pattern Bevo eagle and cocarde) period applied with zig-zag stiching on the front of the cap. The tan colored lining shows no actual wear and markings are present; F. Weissbach Glauchau E.42 (1942) size marked 58. Desirable and rare army field cap!
