Army (Heer) artillery officer 'Waffenrock' dress tunic for Leutnant by Otto Bothe

Sold
€975.00 β€”

Description

Stunning and well preserved Waffenrock for officers with red branch color for an officer of the German artillery. The tunic is complete with all of its original insignia, period sewn on the garment. The tunic remains void of major damages or defects. The shoulder boards indicate this was an officer with the rank of Leutnant within an Artillerie-Regiment. It has a tailor label for Otto Bothe in Halberstadt. While taking the pictures we found buttons and a tab, most likely from his Waffenrock when he was an enlisted soldier – a nice extra touch. This jacket was recently found by one of our pickers in Germany during a house cleaning.
