Rare Waffen-SS issue fur hat

Rare Waffen-SS issue fur hat in good used condition. This type of fur hat is typical for the Waffen-SS with its four panels joined in a cross on the top. The fur is covered in white paint to insulate and keep out moisture. The hat is a typical design also found in oak leaf material with faux fur. There are numerous wartime photographs of Waffen-SS troops sporting these fur hats on the eastern front. I added two photos of Heinrich Himmler on the Eismeerfront and knights cross bearer Max Schäfer. This is a very hard to find model winter hat which most probably was issued alongside the Charkov Parka!
