German WWII Autographed Knights Cross Winner Photo, Magold, Grossdeutschland

Original period manufacture. 3x5 black and white photo with a signature in black ink at the bottom. The image is mounted to a piece of white paper with a penned inscription in German at the bottom. Hanns Magold 1918-1944, Hauptmann, Grossdeutschland Division. He was awarded the Knights Cross for his actions in the defense of, and retaking of Kharkov in February-March 1943. He was killed in action on the 15th of September 1944.
