Description

Original era manufacture. A sound pair of dress epaulettes as worn by US Army Officers in the Civil War-Indian War eras. The wire cords are sound with the bottom securing thread on the right side having come loose, left side intact, no pulled or stretched wire spirals. Staff pattern buttons on each, with no rank or other embellishments on the top. Comes with it's original steel storage box which once likely had a black japanned finish. Inside the interior compartment are two silver wire stars (Brigadier ?) and one box-type spur. The box is sound and the locking loop is present.
