German Imperial Era, Regimental Beer Stein, 2nd Baden Grenadier Rgt, 1898-1900

Original era manufacture. Fine quality porcelain stein of a type purchased by a soldier at the end of his compulsory 2 year enlistment. The stein stands 12.5 inches in height, with a lithopane bottom and a decorative pewter lid. The stein is very sound, no cracks or chips, however the thumb latch needs to be re-soldered in place. The latch is inside the stein in a small plastic bag. Otherwise a very handsome looking 124 year old bier stein.
