German WWII S84/98 Bayonet and Scabbard, Horster Mfg

Original era manufacture. Standard pattern WWII German service bayonet, both the blade and scabbard are asw marked (Horster) and dated 43 and 44 respectively. Sound clean condition, with most of the original finish remaining on the bayonet. The blade has not been sharpened, the point is sound, with scattered areas of corrosion staining, cleaned and touched up with cold blue. Original finish to the guard and pommel area with original finish wood grips. Dent free, original finish scabbard with light surface corrosion. Bright steel throat securing screw which likely is a donor from another bayonet.
