German Reichsheer Era Cavalry Officer Lionhead Sword, Horster Mfg

Original period manufacture. A very nice quality sword with a plated steel blade measuring 29 inches in length, running fairly straight and true, with just a hint of a drift to the left about 6 inches back from the point. No corrosion issues to the surface, bright and clean. Nice quality gilded brass guard and lion head pommel. Black plastic wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Black painted steel scabbard with a few very minor dents, both throat screws are present. The surface has been repainted post WWII, nice job though.
