Description
Original era manufacture. A solid example with nearly 100% of the rough combat finish remaining on the exterior of the helmet. Original, light OD, adjustable chinstrap with staining from use, no holes or tears, and a name written in ink on one side. The exterior of the shell looks to have had an insignia of some kind hand painted on the surface, but hard to make out. Sound brown leather liner, with the crown pad in the top, the fingers are pliable, all of the leather lacing is present. Overall, the helmet is a solid example of the pre-WWII GI helmet.
