Original period manufacture. Plated steel blade measuring 31.5 inches in length, runs straight and true. No real corrosion issues to the surface, just some light scattered speckling to the surface along it's length.r age and wear.Ornate fire gilded cast brass grip with a lion head pommel, fitted with red glass eyes. Black plastic wrapped grip, bound with triple strand wire. The guard and pommel now show a pleasing old brass patina finish. Dent free, black re-painted finish remains on the scabbard body, with both throat screws present. Two suspension loops.
