US Post Civil War Artillery Officers Trousers

Description

Original era manufacture. Very mid-19th century style trousers, with mule-ear style front pockets with decorative stitching, no hip pockets and an adjusting buckle in the rear of the waistband. All suspender and fly buttons are present.Down the outside seam of each leg is a 1.25 inch red wool stripe for an officer of artillery. The waist band lining and pockets are handsewn to the inside of the trousers, with a faint Troy NY makers stamp, and the name Hillson inked onto the pocket watch lining. The waistband measures 31 inches, and the inseam 28 inches.There are some scattered repairs in the fabric, with a very few small moth bites. Overall the trousers are very presentable and in sound condition.
