Japanese WWII Police Patrol Sword, Original Knot

Original era manufacture. A very clean condition patrolman's sword with an 18 inch polished steel blade with a sharp cutting edge. The blade is clean with no issues beyond some light surface scratching.Brass guard, backstrap and pommel, with a black painted grip bound with a single strand of twisted wire. Attached to the pommel and tip of the guard is an original brown leather knot. Bright, chrome finished brass scabbard in clean condition with some minor denting towards the chape.
