Japanese WWII Trench Art Projectile & Case, New Guinea, INERT

Original era manufacture. A nice looking piece of trench art, made from what appears to be a Japanese 25 mm round. The overall height is around 9 inches, the fuse can be removed, revealing an empty projectile; the base displays Japanese markings and has been drilled through.On one side of the case a nice rendition of palm trees and a native hut, has been engraved, along with the words New Guinea.
