Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, 5th Class, Cased

Original era manufacture. A beautiful silver medal with lovely enameling on both sides of the planchet, and Pawlonia leaf suspension. Zero enamel damage, with traces of the original gilding remaining on the reverse. The original ribbon is intact, in near new condition, displaying minimal handling and wear. The purple lining is in matching condition, as is the lacquer finish on the issue case. One of the nicest examples we have ever offered.
