Matching CFL44 Enamel Canteen In Amazing Condition

If you are looking for an enamel canteen for your collection, it will be difficult to find one better than this. No chips or dents, in like new condition. All bits are marked CFL44 and the cover appears to also be marked 44; the maker is too faded to see, but it is likely CFL. The pig skin leather strap is complete and without tears or serious damage. One of the holes where the canteen has been closed for many years is a little worn but that is the worst of the damage. With all of these late war canteens you must be very careful with the leather strap as it is generally very fragile. Its hard to find one that isn't torn or damaged. Do not make a habit of opening and closing the buckle. The cover has plain snaps which is common for these late war canteens. All in all, this is the a great example for any collection and in excellent condition.The buckle will not be closed for shipping to keep it in good condition. The canteen will be lightly wrapped in cling film to keep it together in transport.
