Iron Cross 2nd Class Demjansk Pocket

Iron cross with award documentation. Likely awarded for actions in the Demjansk pocket. Awarded March 31, 1943 to Obergefreiter Heinrich Meyerdieks of II./G.R.46. The second battalion was also dissolved around this period because of high casualties. I was not able to find a discernible marking on the cross but it may have faint markings on the ring. I do not know enough about these to pick out makers etc... The signature on the award document is slightly smudged.
