Edeka Tea Container

Edeka store brand Ceylon tea container. It in in OK condition. There is a lot of wear, rust and there are a few dents. It measures about 3 1/8' by 2 1/8' and stands 2 1/8' tall.Edeka is the largest supermarket chain in Germany and was founded in 1898. The Edeka company has a very interesting history as it managed to survive so much. It had 524 co-ops in Germany before WWII broke out. Between 1936 and 1939 Edeka was hit with intense regulations and controlled prices. In spite of huge losses, Edeka proved to be a stable company, even when in 1943 its Berlin headquarters office was bombed and burned down.
