Original period manufacture. Red wool cap cord retaining good color for its likely 150 year age. No fraying or tears in the cord, with the tasseled ends still tied with twine. Worn on the enlisted Hardee Hat in a full dress configuration, or, as worn in the field ona black slouch hat.
