Repro Tank Destruction Badge in Silver

Sold
$19.00

Description

In March 9 1942, the tank destruction badge was created to award to individuals who had single-handedly knocked out an enemy armored vehicle using a handheld weapon. Anti-tank units were not eligible to receive the award. Prior to the creation of this badge, soldiers would have been awarded a general assault badge. The tank destruction badge in silver was awarded once for each vehicle destroyed. These are attached to a feldgrau wool backing. The price is for one badge. If you order more than one, I will try to leave them connected to make attaching them a little easier if it is possible. This is the best looking reproduction I have seen, which is why I chose to stock it. I have avoided medals for a long time simply because the quality just wasn't there until now.
