Description
Original era manufacture. A very unique, Ike Jacket, from the 2nd Infantry Division of the Korean War.Issue tag in the right pocket is size marked 36 R, and dated 1951. On the right shoulder is a wonderful, theater made 2nd Division SSI, of black wool, with a thickly embroidered silver wire stat, and hand-embroidered Indian head.On the left shoulder is a cut-edge, cotton embroidered 1st Army SSI, with a Presidential Unit Citation, covered in heavy Plexiglas, on the left chest is a sterling marked CIB, with sterling clutch attachments. Below is a two place ribbon bar for the Korean Campaign Medal, 2 Stars, and the UN Korean Medal, both covered in the same thick Plexiglas. Below the ribbon bar is a Korean Presidential Unit Citation ribbon, again in the same Plexiglas.Matching, domed silver Infantry & US collar insignia, 23rd Infantry Regiment DI's on each epaulette, and StaffSergeant chevrons on each sleeve. No moth issues to report, just a great example of a Korean War Ike Jacket...never plundered for it's insignia.
